Martin Ellis - Director / Graphic Designer at Weblinks

Martin has been a graphic designer for over thirty years. He understands commercial printing processes and is able to design and originate all types of printed material, from flyers and leaflets to large brochures, magazines, catalogues and books. Martin used to do a lot of website coding but, as CMS has become more prominent, he now prefers to work in pre-press artwork production.

Aside from running the company, his key skills are graphic design and digital image editing.

Joel has a wealth of experience as a web designer and developer. He formally trained in art so always finds a creative way to turn a good concept into a workable website solution. As well as designing and creating high-quality websites, Joel liaises with clients and manages projects from the initial brief to the finished website.

About us

  • 1996 - 2004

    Weblinks was founded in 1996 to provide website design services alongside a print and advertising company. Martin Ellis had taken a keen interest in the Internet and the World Wide Web back in 1995. He started Weblinks Advertising Limited with two work colleagues and the owner of the printing company for which he worked as a graphic designer. As the business quickly grew additional staff were taken on to help with demand for websites in the late 1990’s.

  • 2005 - 2017

    In 2005 Martin became Managing Director of Weblinks and expanded the business to incorporate brochure and advertising production as well as bespoke website design and content managed web solutions. Weblinks produced many leaflets and brochures for the Art and Antiques trade, working closely with both antique dealers and printing companies to ensure the highest possible standards. Weblinks started creating print advertisements which were produced for many clients in local, national and international publications.

    For over twenty five years the company created websites for estate agents with data links to the major property portals. During this time Weblinks created solutions for content managed property listings, building bespoke websites for agents both locally and nationally. Many features were added to the range of services offered, from property viewing statistics to email alerts and password protected property microsites.

  • 2018 - 2021

    In 2018 the company adapted to the changing marketplace, offering website solutions to a more diverse client base. Further changes were made, as a result of the Covid pandemic, with the business being restructured to enable full time working from home.

  • 2022

    Having scaled the scope of the business back, Joel now looks after all things website related and Martin continues to design and produce artwork for commercial printing. Weblinks are able to offer very competitive website solutions with Joel drawing on over 20 years experience in the business and Martin overseeing things as well as being the main point of contact for print design enquiries.
